About Me

Hi, I’m Moneé — the founder of Mon Appétit, which was born in my kitchen in 2020 as the world paused. After working for 14 years in sales, for the first time I had space to explore something new. That something quickly became baking.
What started as a creative outlet became something much bigger when I started taking baking classes, experimenting with recipes, and sharing my desserts on social media. To my surprise, people began asking to buy what I was making. I never set out to start a business, but after several sold-out bake sales, custom dessert bars for parties, events, and pop-ups at the Sacramento Ballet, I realized baking was more than a hobby.
In 2022, I took a leap, leaving sales to become a lead baker at Pushkin’s Bakery in Sacramento. It was an experience that taught me so much and gave me the confidence to pursue my own business. I came to understand that I thrive most when I have full creative freedom and when I can pour my heart into every dessert I make.
I took another leap and returned to Mon Appétit, this time full-time. Every dessert I make is crafted with joy, intention, and the hope that you feel the love from the moment you open the box. I’m so grateful to bake for the Sacramento community and I can’t wait to bring you joy with every bite!
